Truth | Verità
The second public event of The Peace Room Project invites a reflection on the concept of Truth. Among the many ideas connected to Truth, the artistic projects will explore themes such as originality and authenticity, hidden stories from one’s own past, and how our perception changes with age.
How can we define a shared truth in an era of infinite viewpoints? How does the truth we believe we know shape our lives? Can different truths be reconciled? And do absolute truths even exist?
These are the questions that participants in the project will investigate through a participatory artistic action, inviting the audience to contribute and challenge their own understanding of truth. During the event, each participant will present a different project — a reflection, a screening, or a short themed workshop.
The context: Interfest
For the second happening of the semester, the Siena Art Institute joins forces with INTERFEST – interactions, exchanges, interculture, a project of the University for Foreigners of Siena (Unistrasi) taking place from October 23–25.
INTERFEST is an open and free student festival, welcoming both the student community and local citizens. The festival’s main mission is to promote multicultural participation, acceptance, and inclusion, with a focus on plurality and dialogue. The theme of this year’s edition is “open spaces / closed spaces.”
Within this context, The Peace Room, which hosts artistic reflections on the theme of “Truth,” will be one of the active initiatives on October 23. The event will contribute to the festival’s broader goal of fostering intercultural dialogue, while also presenting ways in which art can serve as a tool for creating shared spaces for the exchange of ideas and perspectives.

The presentation takes place within the framework of Interfest, a project of the University for Foreigners of Siena held annually, which aims to engage the local community and address—through art, literature, comics, and music—topics such as multiculturalism, hospitality, inclusion, dialogue with others, mutual learning between cultures, and the building of a public discourse grounded in plurality and dialogue. These are themes closely connected to the Siena Art Institute and central to the vision of The Peace Room Project.
The presentation will take place between the conversation with Maria Grazia Calandrone and the screening of Fiore Mio by Paolo Cognetti, in the same space as the screening.

Aperitivo!
On the occasion of the public event, the Siena Art Institute will offer guests an aperitivo featuring local products from the region. For the aperitivo, a small local winery, Tenuta Cappellina, has been selected.
Tenuta Cappellina will present a selection of its organic wines, sharing its vision as a small-scale winery dedicated to producing high-quality products while respecting the environment, the land, and local tradition.
