Greek Arts Today: Creative Research Seminar
In collaboration with our sister organisation Art Cloud Greece, Greek Arts Today: Creative Research Seminar offers School of Liberal Arts students the opportunity to extend their semester with two additional weeks in Athens.
Connecting with the semester's experiences in Siena, students are encouraged to reflect on the social and cultural dynamics of today's Athens while visiting cultural sites and meeting individuals and collectives with diverse artistic practices.
The program explores contemporary Greece through its dynamic art scene, focusing on the ways artists and creative communities respond to the social and cultural challenges of today.
During the program, students engage directly with Athens and its creative environment through cultural visits and exploration of a wide range of artistic practices. The experience encourages students to look at contemporary Greek society from different perspectives and to reflect on the connections between art, culture, and social change.
Moving from Siena to Athens also gives students the opportunity to compare two different cultural contexts and build upon the perspectives they developed during their semester in Italy.
Greek Arts Today is open to students from both the School of Liberal Arts and the School of Arts.

Siena Portfolio Development
As a continuation of the semester program at the Siena Art Institute, this add-on gives students dedicated time to further develop the work they have produced during the semester. Through focused studio time and individualized mentorship, participants will strengthen their creative process, develop a cohesive body of work, and make meaningful progress in refining their artistic portfolio. The program requires dedication and sustained focus, but students who commit to this concentrated period can accomplish a substantive amount of artistic development in just a couple of weeks.
Students enrolled in the School of Arts have the flexibility to choose between two different add-on experiences: they can travel to Greece or remain in Siena for an intensive period of artistic development at the Siena Art Institute.
