Wendy Woodson

Wendy Woodson is a writer, director, choreographer, and video artist, and Professor of Theater and Dance at Amherst College. She has created more than 95 works for stage and video presented in the United States, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia. Her work has been performed at venues including the John F. Kennedy Center, La MaMa (NYC and Melbourne), the Smithsonian Institution, Jacob’s Pillow, PS 122, Wolf Trap, and numerous colleges and universities. Her video work has been exhibited at festivals in the U.S., Germany, and Sarajevo, and at the deCordova Museum. Woodson has received support from the National Endowment for the Arts and other major arts organizations, and was a Fulbright Senior Scholar and artist-in-residence at the Victorian College of the Arts and RMIT University in Melbourne.
