Theresa Hackett is a New York-based artist known for her vibrant, layered works spanning painting, drawing, and printmaking. Originally from Los Angeles, she earned her MFA from Hunter College after studying at the College of Creative Studies at UC Santa Barbara. Hackett has exhibited widely in New York, Los Angeles, and Europe, with solo and group shows at institutions including the Contemporary Museum of Art in Baltimore. She is a recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant and a NYFA Fellowship in Printmaking/Drawing/Book Arts. In addition to her studio practice, she has curated multiple exhibitions and lectured extensively at universities and galleries.
