Sheila Pepe
Sheila Pepe is a Brooklyn-based contemporary artist known for her innovative use of fiber, sculpture, and installation to explore gender, labor, and material culture. Born in Morristown, New Jersey, Pepe has exhibited widely across the United States, with solo and group exhibitions at institutions including the Museum of Arts and Design, Institute of Contemporary Art Philadelphia, MoMA PS1, and the Weatherspoon Art Museum. Her work is held in major public collections such as the Harvard Art Museums and the Rose Art Museum. Pepe holds degrees from Albertus Magnus College, Massachusetts College of Art, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. She is currently Assistant Chair of Fine Art at Pratt Institute.
