Mashuq Mushtaq Deen is an award-winning playwright and essayist whose work explores identity, faith, and the emotional landscapes of human connection. He is the recipient of the Lambda Literary Award for Draw the Circle, with productions at PlayMakers Rep, Mosaic Theater, and Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre. His plays have been developed and supported by institutions including Sundance Theatre Institute, MacDowell, Yaddo, and the Public Theater. A graduate of the Actors Studio Drama School, Deen is a member of the Dramatists Guild and the New York Theatre Workshop Usual Suspects.
