Dalia Baassiri (born 1981, Sidon, Lebanon) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores materiality, surface, and the traces of everyday life. She earned a BS in Graphic Design from the Lebanese American University in 2003 and an MFA from Chelsea College of Arts in 2012. Growing up during the Lebanese civil war, she found early refuge in drawing — an experience that continues to inform her tactile, process-driven practice. Baassiri’s work has been exhibited internationally, including at Galerie Janine Rubeiz, Beirut Art Fair, Abu Dhabi Art, and in exhibitions connected to the Arte Laguna Prize and Celeste Prize. Her first major solo exhibition in Lebanon, Wiped Off (2017), was held at Galerie Janine Rubeiz, which continues to represent her work.
