Boaz Aharonovitch (born 1970, Israel) is an Israeli contemporary photographer whose work explores the evolving representational possibilities of photography in the digital age. A graduate with honors from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, where he also completed his MFA, Aharonovitch examines the tension between the limitations of the photographic medium and its expanding technological potential. His practice often connects intimate family narratives with broader social, political, and environmental contexts. He is the recipient of major awards including the Sharett Scholarship, the Rami Halperin Prize, the Israeli Ministry of Education and Culture’s Young Artist Award, and the Rich Foundation Award for Excellence.
