Angie Cruz is a novelist, editor, and literary advocate. Her latest novel, How Not to Drown in a Glass of Water (2022), was a finalist for the Neustadt International Prize for Literature, shortlisted for the Aspen Words Literary Prize, and named a notable book of the year by major publications including The New York Times and The Washington Post. Her earlier novel Dominicana was the inaugural pick for the Good Morning America Book Club and received widespread acclaim, including the ALA Alex Award. She is also the author of the novels Soledad and Let It Rain Coffee. Cruz has received numerous honors, including the USA Fellowship and the John Dos Passos Prize for Literature. She is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the literary journal Aster(ix) and teaches writing at Columbia University.
